Obituary of Josephine Tedford

Josephine (Murphy) Tedford, 88, of Manchester died on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Manchester to the late Thomas and Mary (McMahon) Murphy. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Josephine was an avid lover of her flower garden and her birds and was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox. She loved being around her family and her dogs. Josephine worked for Cheney Brothers, Case Brothers, the Manchester Post Office and Albasi's Grennhouses and Farm before her retirement. She is survived by her sons, William J. Tedford and John F. Tedford; her daughter Patricia A. Skinner and her husband Robert; her grandchildren Laura Purdy, Chrissie Heller, Tricia Thomasen, Scott Tedford, Jeff Tedford, Dan Tedford and Katie Tedford and her great grandchildren Johnny Purdy, Krystal, Shane and Billy Heller and Casey Thomasen and several nieces and nephews. Josephine was predeceased by her husband of forty-three years, Clarence J. Tedford, her grandson William J. Tedford and all nine of her brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be held on Thursday (7/8) at 12:15 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 at St. James Church, Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.
