Obituary of Simone Boyer
Simone J. Boyer, 74, of Manchester entered into eternal rest on Tuesday (June 15), surrounded by her loving family. Born November 17, 1935 in Les Cayes, Haiti, Simone was the loving daughter of Absalon and Julia (Gedeon) Gouin. She came to the United States in 1973 to have a better life and join her family. Simone retired from Manchester Manor after 23 years of service and during her retirement enjoyed spending time with family, going to the casino and traveling. Simone is survived by her seven siblings: Father Nerva Gouin of Montreal, Canada; Monsignor Albert Gouin of Les Cayes, Haiti; Laurette Paul of Manchester, CT; Erta Alexandre of Manchester, CT; Pierre Gouin of Meriden, CT; Mathilde Dupervil of Manchester, CT and Carlo Gouin of Elmont, NY. She was predeceased by her brother Max Gouin. She leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday (June 25) from 6-8pm at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday (June 26) at 11am at The Church of the Assumption, 29 S. Adams Street, Manchester, CT.
