Obituary of Mary Kurtz Gaipa

Mary L. (Aresco) Kurtz Gaipa, 94, of East Hartford, died on Thursday (June 10, 2010) at the home of her goddaughter Dawn Niwinski of Bristol. Mary was born in Lawrence, MA and lived in East Hartford for many years. She had retired from the W.T. Grant Co. and was a communicant and active member of St. Isaac Jogues parish in East Hartford. Mary was the widow of Joseph Gaipa and is survived by her children William S. Kurtz and his wife Marjorie of Canton, Fred Kurtz of East Hartford and Vanessa Behan of St. Clair Shores, MI. She is also survived by her grandchildren Dave Flanders and his wife Maeve, Michael Kurtz, John Flanders, William F. Kurtz and his wife Stacey, Capri Kurtz, Dennis Kurtz, Dana Beam and her husband David, Heather LeVine and Paul LeVine; her great grandchildren Ryan and Zachary Flanders, Jordan Kurtz, Cameron Flanders, Sullivan Beam and Erin Beam and Dawn's family, her parents Frank and Anita Niwinski and her brother Frankie Niwinski. Funeral service will be held on Monday (6/14) at 9:15 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 at St. Isaac Jogues Church, East Hartford followed by burial in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-5.
