Joseph J. Peck, 66, the husband of the late Margaret (Noyes) Peck died unexpectedly on Monday (May 31, 2010) at his home. Joseph was born in Providence, RI the son of Joseph, Sr. and Anna (Borejko) Peck and had lived in Manchester for many years. He was a US Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War and had been an East Hartford fireman until his retirement in 1997. Joe was a member of the VFW and the Army & Navy Club of Manchester and greatly enjoyed spending summers at his cottage on Coventry Lake. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Scott Smith of Manchester; his son and his girlfriend Joseph Peck and Michelle Johnson of Manchester; his grandson Shane Smith; his brother Paul Peck of East Hartford; his sister Diane Theriault of Cromwell and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Thursday (6/3) from 5-8. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 at the funeral home followed by burial with military honors in East Cemetery, Manchester .In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Firemen's Donation Account c/o East Hartford Fire Department 31 School St. East Hartford, CT 06108.
