Carol (Lukas) Gordon, 69, of Manchester, known for her sparkling green eyes and her infectious laugh, died on Thursday (May 27, 2010) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Carol was born on Scranton, PA the daughter of Stanley and Helen Lukas, graduated from Rockville High School, Class of 1959 and had lived in Manchester for many years. In 2010 she retired from Manchester Memorial Hospital. Carol enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in youth sports, especially basketball, was an avid fan of UCONN sports , the Red Sox and the Minnesota Vikings. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ken and Theresa Miffit of Manchester, and her grandchildren Kara and Joseph. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Lukas and her sister Linda Lukas. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Tuesday (6/1) from 4-6. A funeral service will be held, at the funeral home ,beginning at 6:00.
