Obituary of Benito Pagani

Benito A. "Benny" Pagani, Jr., 47, of Tolland formerly of Manchester the husband of Tara (McGill) Pagani died unexpectedly Sunday (May 23, 2010). Born in Manchester, he was the son of Mary (Naven) Pagani and the late Benito A. Pagani, Sr. He was the owner and operator of Titan General Contractor's with his partner John Tierinni. He was a local softball legend who played in tournaments locally and nationally and leagues in the Manchester, Vernon and East Hartford area. He was probably the greatest story teller the game of softball will ever know. Benny was very well known and liked especially for his sense of humor. He also recently enjoyed assisting with his son's farm league baseball team. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his adored children, Benito A. Pagani III, and Braedan T. Pagani; his siblings, Michael A. Pagani and his wife Rosemary of East Hartford, Mark A. Pagani and his wife Wendy of Bolton, Linda Pagani of Vernon, Diane Pagani of Manchester and Maria Pagani and her fiancé Dave Stefanowich of Windsor Locks; his sister-in-law Katrice Sponzo and her husband Tony; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday (May 28th) at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
