Hugh T. Reilly, Jr., 77, of East Hartford, joined his loving wife Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (Safford) Reilly and their beloved friend Samantha on Sunday February 28, 2010. He passed peacefully with his daughters by his side. Born in Manchester, NH he was the son of the late Hugh T. Reilly, Sr. and Mabel (Poole) Reilly and had lived in East Hartford for the past ten years and Manchester, CT for most of his life. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post 2046, and Center Congregational Church. He was married to his loving wife Betty for fifty years and became the proud father of his four girls. He is survived by his daughters, Lora C. Peck of South Hadley, MA, Linda M. Catlina and her husband Thomas of Tolland, Lucinda M. Hilliard and her husband James of Akron, OH and Lorraine M. Reilly of East Hartford. He was also the proud grandfather to Sara, William, Jeremy, Daniel, David, and Alyce, 3 great-grandchildren and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a great-grandson, son-in-law and sisters-in-law. A memorial service will be held on Thursday (March 4, 2010) at 10 am at Center Congregational Church 11 Center St. Manchester followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester has care of the arrangements.
