John F. Scallion, 84, of Manchester, the husband of Eileen M. (Campbell) Scallion died Saturday (February 20, 2010) at Riverside Health Care Center, East Hartford. He was born in Enfield, CT, April 4, 1925. Besides his wife of 60 years, he leaves his daughter, Carol (Cal) Scallion and adopted daughter, Janine Gelineau. He attended Hartford Schools graduating from Bulkeley High School in 1943. He served in the Naval Armed Guard from 1943-1946 as a signal man on a merchant ship. He served as President of Trio Printers for 50 years retiring in 2000. Family and friends may gather at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester, on Monday, February 22, from 12-1 p.m., followed by burial in East Cemetery.
