To the family of Gerry, my heart felt condolences. It is never easy when a loved one passes away so suddenly, and is very sad when a person of the caliber of Gerry is lost. I have known Gerry and his brothers for over 50 years and had the pleasure of working with Gerry at General Electric. He was a fine, upstanding and honorable person who I considered as an old friend.

I am so sorry to learn of the untimely death of an old friend and classmate. We went through school together and I have fond memories. Gerry let me borrow his car one afternoon in 1960 right after I received my permit, I ran out of gas in front of the old Shute Branch Library. We had many laughs over that. My heart goes out to the family.

Sending my love along with my condolences to David and Diana as well as to John & Peter Tortolini. Gerry will be greatly missed by all our family and his many friends. He was a loving brother,a devoted Dad and a warm-hearted, friendly guy. Although he moved to Ct. many years ago, we communicated via Email so I was able to keep him informed on family events, etc. His last Email, dated Feb. 1st, 2010 was full of praise for his daughter,Diana, and his son, David, for all their accomplishments. He was so proud of them. May God Bless and comfort all the Tortolini family through this sorrowful ordeal. Love, Joyce
