Obituary of Stanley Mloganoski

Stanley Henry Mloganoski, Sr., of Manchester, died peacefully February 21, 2010 after several months of declining health. He was 92. Stanley was born November 2, 1917 in Suffield, son of the late Stanislaw Mlodzianowski and Maryanna Lenkiewicz. He graduated from Suffield Academy in 1936, and was employed by Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford for 35 years. He retired as a foreman in 1976. Stanley enjoyed fishing, golfing, and gardening throughout his life, and visits to Foxwoods with his family during his many healthy retirement years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Eleanor (Swider), whom he married in Suffield. In 1941, they made Manchester their home. He is also survived by his five children: Marie Fontanella, of Manchester; Stanley, Jr. and wife Frances, of Tolland; James and wife Roberta Jackson, of Hebron; Joseph and wife Nancy Skallerup, of Penngrove, California; and Joy Mlozanowski, of Haddam. He is predeceased by his sister Josephine Coury, of Torrington, and his son-in-law Richard Fontanella. Stanley also leaves eight grandchildren, and their spouses: Teresa Houle, and husband Richard; Rita Simons, and husband Donald; Gemma Ebstein, and husband Alan; Mary Ann Mloganoski; Diane Latzko; Susan Duval, and husband Joseph; John Mloganoski, and wife Heather; and Stephen Taylor. He leaves six great-grandchildren as well: Alex Houle, Nickki and Brian Simons, Tony and Jake Ebstein, and Joey Duval. Stanley will be missed by all those he included in his large circle of family and friends, including Kathy Baldwin and her pal, Lucky. Everyone's patient and caring help during his illness was invaluable, and much appreciated. There will be no calling hours.
