Claude Joseph Tasse, 81, of East Hartford formerly of Worcester, MA the beloved husband of Pauline M. (Degon) Tasse died Sunday December 20, 2009 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Paul C. and Antoinette M. Tasse, and had lived in East Hartford since 1967. Claude was a US Army veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the East Hartford VFW. He had retired from Pratt & Whitney and was the owner of Tasse Clock Repair. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Ronald C. Tasse and Patricia Albers of Manchester, Robert J. Tasse and his wife Ellen of Bristol, Phyllis M. Butler and her husband Bruce of Stratford, Anne-Marie Sullivan and her husband Paul of Methuen, MA, Richard P. Tasse and his wife Kim of Manchester and Jeannie M. Kottke and her husband Gary of Manchester; and his former daughter-in-law Patricia L. Tasse of Wisconsin; his grandchildren, WO1 Robert J. Tasse, Jr. US Army and his fiancée Ashley Knowles, Jenna M. Haynes and her husband Jason, Officer Daniel P. Mehlhouse and his wife Brandy, PO1 Ronald S. Mehlhouse USCG and Heather, Officer Matthew W. Mehlhouse and Jamie, John Paul Sullivan and Bekki, Patricia Anne Sullivan and Tim, Jessica Lynn Tasse, Shane Richard Tasse, Stephanie Chaffee, Michael Karol and his wife Lindsey, Johnathan Karol and Amanda, Kaila M. Michonski, Anthony D. Michonski, and Jake A. Kottke. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Brandon, Tyler, Shane, Angelina, Jason Jr., Aiden, Nathan, Ava and Autumn; his twin sister Claudine Pearson of Worcester; his siblings Jeanne M. Tasse of Georgia, Theresa Hebert and her husband Raymond of Brewster, MA and Paul C. Tasse and his wife Diane of Worcester; numerous nieces and nephews and his puppies, Lola and Mindy. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Charles Tasse and sister Caroline Best. Funeral service will be held on Thursday (December 24th) at 8:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am at the Church of the Assumption 27 Adams St. South, Manchester.
