Zofia A. Chmielowiec, 73, of Manchester, the wife of the late Stanley Chmielowiec died Tuesday December 15, 2009 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Poland, she had lived in Manchester for 42 years. Zofia had a passion for gardening, cooking and sewing. She is survived by her children Krystyn Zinn of South Windsor, Jane M. Mora and her husband Joseph of Coventry, and Victor S. Chmielowiec and his wife Cynthia of Coventry, and her grandchildren Sara and Allison Zinn, Emily and Samantha Mora and Julia and Lydia Chmielowiec. She is also survived by six brothers and one sister all of Poland and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Friday (December 18th) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at the Church of the Assumption Adams Street South, Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
