Kathy M. Mulready, 63, of Rockville, formerly of Manchester, died unexpectedly on Dec. 7, 2009. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late James P. Mulready Sr. and Frances (Beaudry) Mulready. Prior to her retirement, Kathy worked as an insurance agent for White Insurance. She also worked for the Visiting Nurse Association as a home health aide. Kathy found this work especially rewarding as she was a natural "people person," with a gift for providing compassion and humor to all she met. Kathy endured many struggles in life, but kept her love for her family and strong faith in God her first priorities. We will especially miss her smile and sparkling blue eyes that are now looking down on us as she celebrates with God and our family in heaven above. She is survived by her loving sons, Christopher Padua of East Hartford, Daniel and Diana McLaughlin of Arlington, Texas, and Jamie and Marissa Padua of San Francisco, Calif. She is also survived by her special twin sister, Sr. Mary Patrick of Baltic, as well as her beloved sisters, Rita Hayes, and brother-in-law, Barry, of Manchester, and Joan Mulready, also of Manchester. She also leaves her cherished granddaughter, Gianna Sophia Padua; nieces and nephews, James P. Mulready III, John Mulready, Jennifer Skower, Amy Cerasoli, Kevin Hayes; as well as dear friends, Diana and Emil Lucek and Josephine and Ron LaJoie. Besides both parents, Kathy was predeceased by her loving little boy, Michael Padua, who she longed to one day be joined with again; her brother, James P. Mulready Jr.; and sister, Jean Mulready. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 11 a.m. with a Mass of Resurrection at the Church of the Assumption, 285 W. Center St., Manchester.
