Helen Bansemer Neumayer of Wethersfield, Connecticut and Columbia Lake died November 26, 2009 at Hartford Hospital. On January 9, 2009 Mrs. Neumayer celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Neumayer was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Neumayer. She leaves a son, Richard Neumayer and his wife Marilyn of Manchester, CT; a daughter, Doranne Bowman of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren Jill Neumayer DePiper and her husband Geret of College Park, MD, David Bowman and his children Karley and Christopher of Charlotte, NC, Michael Bowman and his wife Rebecca of Charlotte, NC; as well as nieces and nephews. Mrs. Neumayer retired from the Department of Environmental Protection, where she worked as a secretary. She was an active member of the First Church of Christ in Wethersfield, Connecticut and enjoyed her art appreciation group there. Mrs. Neumayer enjoyed working in her garden at home and was a founding member of the Green Thumb Garden Club. There are no calling hours and the funeral will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in her memory be made to the First Church of Christ, 250 Main Street Wethersfield, CT 06109. The John F.
