David A. Chappell, Sr., 62, of Manchester, the husband of Lola (Lavallee) Chappell died Saturday November 14, 2009. He was a graduate of Coventry High School and a veteran of the US Navy. Born in Manchester, he was a resident of Manchester for the past 40 years. He was predeceased by his mother Marjorie (Sweatland) Chappell, father Bernard Chappell Sr., brother William Chappell, sister Linda Brancieri and her husband Robert Brancieri. He is survived by his sons David A. Chappell, Jr. and his wife Dee of East Hartford, Paul J. Chappell and his wife Shelley of Suffield, and Kenneth W. Chappell and his wife Lois of Manchester and his grandchildren Kaileigh, Matthew, Kara, Kyle, Myia, Alexa, and Dominic. He is also survived by his siblings Patricia Smith and her husband Allen of Ellington, Pam Stanizzi and her husband Angelo of Ellington, Bernard Chappell of Rocky Hill, and July Parlee and her husband Jim of Vernon, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday (November 19th) at 10 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester.
