Janice D. Adams, 72, of Manchester, died Saturday October 31, 2009 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of Henry C. Edwards, and Eleanor and John Barron. She was employed for many years at Pastore's Beauty Salon where she worked with her good friend and owner Patty. She is survived by her children Edward DeVoe of South Windsor, Lisa Boyles and her husband Sam of Palmer, Alaska, Susan Scheer and her husband Ted of Manchester and John Adams of Manchester; her beloved grandchildren Amber, Aimee, Tara and Zach. She is also survived by her brother Henry Edwards and his wife Diane of Ellington, her sister Roberta Mellen of N.H. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandchildren Joshua and Ashley. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the John Adams Trust Fund c/o Rockville Bank 341 Broad St. Manchester, CT 06040. Funeral service will be held on Friday (November 6th) at 1:30 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a memorial service at 2:00 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 41 Park St. Manchester followed by burial in Ellington Center Cemetery.
