A. Laurice "Laury" Mirabile, 78, died peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Hartford Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband James D. Mirabile and her long time companion Raymond Maher. She was born in Boston, MA and had lived in East Hartford and Broad Brook for many years. Laury was formerly employed as a legal secretary. She was a founding member of the Glenbrook Swim Club, she was an avid tennis player and a figure skating instructor but enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons and their wives Richard D. and Laurie Osborne of Manchester and Lawrence J. and Laurie A. Mirabile of Cary, NC; her grandchildren Patrick Osborne and his wife Kim and their children Tyler and Sadie, Kate Osborne, Matthew James Mirabile and Samantha Rose Mirabile and her very close friends in the Maher family. Funeral service will be held on Thursday (9/24) at 9:15 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 at St. Rose Church 33 Church St. East Hartford with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8.
