Katherine K. Styers Johnson, 88, of East Hartford the wife of the late Douglas A. Johnson died Friday (September 25, 2009) at Newington Health Care Center. Born in Palmer, MA she had lived in Manchester for many years before moving to East Hartford 11 years ago. She had retired from SNET after 20 years of service. She is survived by her children Louis C. Styers of East Hartford, Judith S. Zysk and her husband Robert of Newington; her granddaughter Emi-Lei Zysk of Newington; her step-sons Roy Johnson of Manchester and William Johnson of East Hartford, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday (September 30th) at 10:15 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:15.
