Jennie Sombric, 96, of Manchester the wife of the late Stanley Sombric died Sunday August 2, 2009 at Manchester Manor. Born in Poland, she had lived in Manchester for many years. She is survived by her children Henry Sombric of Manchester, David Sombric and his wife Joanne of Manchester, Dorothy Bradley and her husband Donald of Ocala, FL, and Eleanor Ford and her husband Gualdo of Grand Isle, NE, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and her sister Flora Purcell of Bristol. Jennie was also predeceased by her sons Stanley Sombric , Jr. and Paul Sombric and her sisters Sister Evangelist and Sophie Kolenda. The Sombric family would like to offer a special note of thanks to the staffs at Manchester Manor and Masonic Partners Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Jennie. Funeral service will be held on Friday (8/7) at 10:30 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 at the Church of the Assumption followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:30 �" 8:00 and on Friday morning from 9:30- 10:30.
