Mary Catherine Finn, formerly of Hartford and Wethersfield passed away Wednesday April 29, 2009 at Manchester Manor. She was the daughter of the late William Finn and Mary (Ryan) Finn. She was predeceased by her brothers Dr. Richard Finn, Raymond Finn, William Finn, John Finn and Harold Finn. She is survived by her nieces Alice Pedersen, Elizabeth Reed, Helen Foster, nephews Richard Finn and William Finn and a very dear friend Mary Lou Gates. She is also survived by many grand-nieces and nephews and great-grand-nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by her love of children and dogs. Mary got her teaching degree at Regis College, Weston, MA, and her Masters at Columbia University. She was a Fulbright Scholar. She taught at Northwest Jones Jr. High, Buckeley High School and Weaver High School. She taught Latin, English, Greek, French, History and later was a guidance counselor at Kennelly School. She was a member of Retired Teachers of Connecticut, Buckeley Retirees Association, the Catholic Graduate Club, helped to start the House of Bread and did many other volunteer services. She also was a member of the Church of the Incarnation and a lector and communicant of that Church. She was a lector for many years for the Sunday TV Mass on channel 30. The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitiude to the staff at Manchester Manor and Masonicare Partners Home Health and Hospice of East Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 5th at 10 am at the Church of the Incarnation 544 Prospect Street Wethersfield, CT. The John F.
