Obituary of Arlene Palladino

With grace and dignity, Arlene Cullen Palladino left this Earth on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. She was the daughter of Paul J. and Helen B. Cullen and a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy. She spent much of her life with her beloved late husband Andrew F. Palladino in Manchester. She leaves her beloved children, Andrew P. Palladino and his wife Lee Chamberlain Palladino of Burlington, Vermont; and Noreen Palladino Cullen and her husband David H. Gonci and her grandson Paul M. Petro with whom she made her home in Glastonbury. Arlene is survived by five loving grandchildren, Andrew J. Palladino and his wife Linda Palladino, Eileen A. Palladino and Ulises Luna; Amber L. Palladino, Dawn A. Palladino, and Paul M. Petro. She is survived by her beloved sister Alice Cullen Fleming and was predeceased by a brother, Edward Cullen and is survived by her dear sister-in-law Mary Cullen. All of her nieces and nephews, family and friends were so very dear to her. She also leaves daughters-of-the-heart Emma Handfield Palladino, and Katherine Koehler Dodge and her husband Paul Dodge. A Mass will be held at Church of the Assumption in Manchester on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. followed by the burial at St. Mary's Cemetery on Burnside Avenue in East Hartford. Memorials may be sent to Long Island Soundkeeper, Box 4058, Norwalk, CT 06855. The family is grateful for the care of the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
